Weekly Grind: A bean box full of awesome
A small venue in a relatively small town, the Bean Box was an interesting experience to say the least.
As with many coffee shops these days they had a menagerie of drinks to choose from, with cold coffee being their focus product.
Perfect for a shop that is only open from spring to the end of autumn.
Now it would take me a while to try all of them, today I decided to just try their coffee, with a shot of espresso of course (it wouldn't have bean a coffee without an extra boost!).
As for what I can say about their coffee, it is by no means flat, and the acidity was just in the right spot. The aroma wasn't too bold or rich, though it was notably more robust then your standard, run of the mill diner or fast food 'joe.
The average price of a coffee with a bonus shot rounded up to about $4.00.
So if you are in the La Salle IL area, and running low on your go go juice, consider giving this lil hot spot a try.
